Laguna Beach
Every year, Cirque du Soleil has a retreat for their shows. Mystère goes to Laguna Beach for a weekend of relaxation and alcohol and fun in the sun and waves. This yearI got to go along!
Talk about your posh hotels! Right on the beach!

Because my life with Lorin is a series of super groovy events, we also happened to catch a concert that Friday at Molly Malone's. Angus (one half of the band Brother) was doing a solo gig that night.

Montreal
On June 7th, Lorin and Amy and I went to Montreal.

We ate lots of Putine

It was an odd convergence of events that led to the decision to go:
First there was Kooza, the new Cirque du Soleil show.

Ross, one of Amy's acrobats form Mystere was filling in for the Trickster
(I think that's him)

(that is not him)

This is definitely him

Then there was the Montreal Fringe Festival which is one big crazy party involving great theatre and good friends. Lorin went in 2005 with a show called Couture. It went . . . weirdly - ask her about it.
There is something called a beer tent, what else on this earth could you possibly need?

This is Matt Rufus, Lorin's good friend

These are some good examples of fringe theatre:

So Yeah. . .
The other reason we went was the Grand Prix du Canada Formula 1 Race

And of course, there was beer:
